DO-IT-YOURSELF STORYTELLING
BECOME AN INDEPENDENT PHOTOGRAPHER
FEBRUARY 1 – 2, 2014 (1,5 days)
This workshop is about what we all desire as storytellers and photographers: Freedom. Learn to see opportunities and make your future.
1. LEARN HOW TO OBTAIN THE FUNDING YOU NEED
Photography projects require money. Many photographers produce work at their own financial cost. There are, however, funding sources available. If you see them.
2. HOW TO ATTRACT AN AUDIENCE TO YOUR PHOTO STORY
Many ambitious photographers are conservative when it comes to presenting their projects, offering their work – often free of charge – to newspapers, magazines or book publishers. They line up for expensive portfolio reviews from recognised picture editors or curators in the hope of having their work picked up. They put their fate in the hands of others and wait. That’s unnecessary. Do It Yourself. The advent of the internet and digital printing techniques has opened up endless possibilities.
